Winter Wonderer

A frigid wind whips through the air
Snowflakes blow down from the nearby trees
The small ice crystals entangle themselves in the small girls hair
Her nose is rosy from the cold wind
She stands on her tippy-toes to put a charcoal smile on a snowman

As her father watched her from the warmth of his house
He realized how joyous the snow made his daughter
He remembered the fun that he had in winter
Sledding, staking, and having snowball fights
Remembering that fun he pulled on his jacket,
and laced up his boots
He ran outside to his daughter
Ready to experience the childish fun again
