Winter’s Embrace

Flossy snow swirling down from the marshmallow skies
like fluffy cotton balls pirouetting
upon the turquoise pines.
Mellifluous melodies floating in the crisp breeze
spewing fanciful reveries in my fluttering heart,
seeping into the world of my wishes and memories
which tiptoe between dreams and stars.

It seems as if the mellow sky has spilled
creamy milkshakes upon the mossy lea,
and has sprinkled snowflakes upon the softwood trees.
I step into the frosted woodlands,
where the eerie stillness is broken by the rustle
of withering leaves.

And now the tangerine sun peaks
from beneath the clouds
trying to melt into the hues of
pink lemonade and bubblegum,
its scattering rays spill warm caramel
on the sky around
as the fragrant zephyr softly hums.
