Wisdom

As I grow older, I slowly begin to realize,
How maturity makes me wise.
I’ve learned to be the bigger person,
Even when it matters the least.

How maturity makes me wise:
I learned to do what’s right,
Even when it matters the least.
The loss of my past makes me want to be better for the future.

I learned to do what’s right,
Importantly in times of defeat.
The loss of my past makes me want to be better for the future,
The future I will succeed.

Importantly in times of defeat,
I’ve learned to be the bigger person
The future I will succeed,
And show the haters who I can be.
