Withholding

You arrive when I call,
pleased to hear my voice
Put at ease as my tone is
captured by your eyes and ears
Surrounded by love and passion
its been awhile
maybe a century, even
making up for lost time
but time was never lost
just existed through the warp-hole
of darkness and led out
by warmth of light
Your light, my inspiration
the reason I express gratitude
Meet in the middle
bonded at the seams
Where have you been?
My life's purpose
wandering in space
Waiting for the right,
the right of choice
which is withholding
even in presence
