Without You

Life without you,
Is the definition of eww.
It's gross and plain,
And is full of pain.
Life with you has some pain,
But mostly gain.
It's really insane.
The way you say my name,
It makes me tame.
Your every word is heard,
In fear it could be the last.
And I wouldn't last,
My dreams are with you.
And my nightmares lack you.
So be mine.
'Cause I don't mind,
The pain,
Due to the gain.

This Poems Story

This is my first published poem. It's also my first attempt to get one published. I love writing poetry. I'd like to thank a few people: my grandfather, Roy Bell, who before he left this world gave me the love of knowledge. I'd like to give thanks to my grandmother, Kay, for always sticking with me, no matter what, my mother for always encouraging and loving me, my siblings for having their ways to make me smile, and most importantly, my God for giving me my mind-set.
