Without You

In the dark, blinded by troubles unseen
I stand, fighting against the pressure of the world
I fall, waiting for you to pick me up
I wait, wait, wait
until all my patience has run out
I've given up
never has the darkness seemed so
lonely
blind, I venture timidly to find my way
Obtaining bruises and aches
all the while...wondering
did You really leave me
am I depending on myself for strength
too weary to go on, I lie down
ready to give it all away
then I feel Your familiar hands
and You wrap me in Your arms
the darkness seems to disappear
there You are kneeling at my side
not ready to give me up to die
I cry --where were You?
tears streak your face as You say
I've been here all along; you just couldn't see
embracing for eternity
I vow never to be
without you
