Wolf Like Me

Wolves dwell in packs
Until one day it no longer lasts.
Lost, confused, and hungry too
The wolf began to grow anew.

Out of the shadows it will rise
The beginning of the wolf's demise.
At first the wolf feels frightened
Until its senses heighten.

The wolf, the wolf embraces
Is unlike its former faces.

The loneliness yields darkness
The shadows offer a cool caress.
Each element is like a drug
Giving one big, enormous tug.

The wolf is alone
It's nothing like the clones.

“This is safe, this difference
I will dwell inside this mess.”
Then one day the wolf discovers
That underneath its covers
This person is a wolf like me.
