Women

The smile on my lips or the tears in my eyes?
The pleasure in my laughter or the pain in my soul?
The happiness I showed or the suffering of my heart?
The beauty on my face or the embarrassment inside me?
What did you see? What did you feel?
Some told me to enjoy my life that I deserved
But how, after being reserved?
Some told me to show my beauty and twirl
Was that very easy after being a girl?
They don't let me admire my real beauty
Cause that's not really my duty.
Every woman deserves to live with pride
But the society keeps us aside.
We wanna be happy and free
But some are forced to hang up a tree.
Ignoring the society is not that easy
After all, they dominate us and pretend to be busy.
They are joy to our family, they are our boys
And what about us? Are we just toys?
We bleed to give you birth
And we also lie in this earth.
I wanna be who I wanna be
A free soul and a queen bee.
They can not let me down with their voice
Cause I'm a woman, I'm a priority, not a choice.
