Words of Wisdom

Charlie Chaplin told his daughter
Her naked body should only belong
To someone who fell in love with her naked soul.
I'm sorry to say that I can't listen to that, that I can't
Watch girls run around like this is some
Monumental, earth-shattering, tear-inducing advice.
Charlie Chaplin's words to his daughter will not dictate me.
My naked body belongs solely and only to me.
My naked soul in mine to share with the world. But the two?
My naked body, with valleys and hills,
Little mountain peaks and waves of ribs,
Is not a direct reflection of my mind, my thoughts,
The words that burrow deep in my soul.
And that is why I will not stop someone from
Devouring my body without loving my soul.
