World War Three

By

Countries and states, cities and towns,
We are united in a war.
Against a foe that knows no bounds,
Affects us all, both near and far.
It does not capture land or wealth,
There is no truce or pact.
It seeks to undermine our health,
Against a virus we must act.
We isolate, under lock and key
To circumvent invasion.
To venture out’s a rarity
An only on occasion.
Through inner strength we must not fail
To keep our spirits free.
Among our weapons that prevail
Are Faith and Hope and Charity.
