Worlds Apart

The sun stopped shining the moment you left
and mockingbirds in the trees fell silent.
Of all happiness my world was bereft
because I could not go where you were sent.
My love, my sweetheart, the joy of my life,
with your beautiful soul I fell in love
and with your green eyes that light up my life.
I'll send you my love with a messenger dove.
Although you are kept miles away from me
our hearts don't know distance, only pure love
that's vast and deep as the wide open sea;
the dearest gift granted from High Above.
When the time is right, you'll come back to me
Because it's the way its supposed to be.
