Worthwhile

Worthwhile

There once was a time
You made me feel worthwhile
I meant something to someone
You meant something to me
It was only us, you and I
Those feelings only now live
In those pictures we took
Moments that you had loved
A glimpse at a different life
Maybe we could have share
Showing the both of us
All that we were missing
We fulfilled one another
In ways we never had known
Not truly ever regretting
The time we spent together
If only we had known
Unrequited love sets in
You push yourself away
Afraid to get close
To say your true feelings
Unknowingly hurting me
I try holding on to you
Not wanting to let go
Losing my best friend
Fucking feels like suicide
Wonder what all I did
For you to not love me
The same way I loved you
A love we had once shared
Written in the photographs
When it was just only us
A love we thought worthwhile
