Would I Let You Have Me?

Would I let you have me?
I don't know
Your words don't match your face
Though I see your smile peer around a dead corner
I can feel you seething
But it's not the same
We're separate now
Stretched across a wide lagoon
Pregnant with a full white moon
You say you want me
But your shadow
tells a different story
A tale of loss
Nothing found
And I hear you outside my door
Still knocking
Ceaseless passion
Too lost to define
Love from hate
Would I let you have me?
Maybe if the sun burned my skin
And blistered my forgiveness
Maybe then
Maybe then
