Would You Speak Venom Of My Name
Would you speak venom of my name
If you were with those who'd hear it sweetly?
For this question has sent my lesser reason untame,
And permitted into my soul a tempest completely.
But my greater reason thinks never of this
It has too much faith in your yet spoken words,
And with steadfast admiration would not let love amiss
Even if I were in the divine presence of our lords.
If that be my key through the pearly gates,
I'd rather turn my pack to the lamb and face perdition
Because my damnation would start once we separated fates.
Yet myself is still left lost midst this constant repetition.
So be my muse that I might find consolation
And let me escape this never ending desolation.
