Raging waves now torn asunder,
Let up, let out, let go the rudder.
Drift and drift, the boat shall drift
Now yet upon a path not lit.
Cast upon the shores as such,
Sent out, sent out, 'tis all in rush.
Shriveled fingers, knuckles white,
Clinging plank to plank for life.
Spirit broke and grasp as well.
Swallowed whole, engulfed by swell.
Gasping, groping, heave, and thrill.
Relinquish as to now lay still.
Floating torment, end is near
All that now remains is fear.
