Writers

Poets, authors, and columnists too, artists alike,
practicing their art that is so essential,
thinkers by nature, give their creative spin.
What would the world do without writers
writing freely?
Robert Frost a poetic dream,
Lanston Hughes writing king,
Playwrights and screenwriters,
Creators behind the scenes.
I give a shout out
to all writers known
and unknown-
Charles Dickens truly gifted
Patricia Cornwell and Alex Haley very savory.
From old to new it's just the writer in you,
we all have a connection,
whatever way or genre.
Movies and reading may have been your first love,
but however you got started your contribution is appreciated greatly.
To Suzanne Collins and C. S. Lewis, your imagination really inspires.
Thank you for reminding me who I am through your writing and giving me
back my desire to write. Love you all; and to those I didn't mention,
truly from my heart, thank you.
