Yearning

"Yearning"

When I think about you,
it's rainbows,
hail,
gold,
cumulus clouds,

your Jupiter eyes,
marble,
marvel me,
like the aurora borealis does,

on frozen,
lonely,
wintery cold nights,
fast forward into the 4th of July,

thoughts ignite me within,
and I explode,
like a firework does,
from my insides out,

can you hear me,
shockwave,
earthquake through,
this airy silence,

nearly at the speed of light,
millions of miles,
to an instant,
halt zero,

time stops,
every time I get close,
and I'm barely able to,
drag a few of my fingerstips across the sides of your face,

you disappear just as swift,
into the wind you blow,
echo,
and another thought of you begins,

when I think about you,
it's rainbows,
storms,
high,
cumulus clouds,

I hopscotch above them all,
knowing,
that I'll never be able to,
touch your horizon,

because memories are all that I have.
