Years from Now

Years from now,
she sits and thinks,
"What does the future hold?"
She hopes to be better
than what she is now.

Months from now,
she sits and waits
for what the future will hold.
She knows that she will be better
than what she was before.

Weeks from now,
she stands and thinks,
"What does the future hold?"
She is already better than
what she was before.

Minutes from now,
she walks and continues
with what is happening now.
She turns her walk into a run
and runs as far away,
from her past,
as she can get.
