Yesterday

I'm just sitting with a headache,
Lighting up another jay,
Smoking out the sorrows of another lonely day,
And the memories start to fade,
Of the love I gave away,
Oh yesterday.

It's my only helpful way to keep the pain at bay,
I've prayed and prayed all day today,
But can't skip the thoughts of yesterday.

Yesterday fade away, let my thoughts drift into space,
Cloudy skies, hovering, raining down the memories,
That rain drop melody breaks my pride down to my knees,
Harmonizing symphony reminding what she meant to me,
Yesterday, fade away.

No matter how hard I've tried,
I can't block out the tears you've cried
From regret, eyes opened wide,
I now see the love that I threw aside,
And the rain clouds hovering over today,
Look like they're here to stay.

Yesterday fade away, let my thoughts drift into space,
Cloudy skies hovering, raining down the memories,
That rain drop melody breaks my pride down to my knees,
Harmonizing symphony reminding what she meant to me,
Yesterday, fade away.

I'm just sitting with a headache,
Lighting up another jay,
Smoking out the sorrows of another lonely day,
