Yesterday

I can feel the caress of the wind on my skin
The bitterness has sank into my pores
Watching the snow fall from above
Experiencing the effect of the seasonal wars
Yesterday was warm, invigorating and pleasant
But somehow today has become winter and cold
Switching seasons so quickly each time I look
Never giving the chance to grow old
Life is so blunt, quick and a blur
Almost impossible to succumb to its purpose
I can see the leaves falling from the trees
Watching as they begin to look lifeless
Looking at the change the earth has created
Involving life's transformation right before our eyes
Reminds me how yesterday was warm, invigorating and pleasant
Yet once again today tells how yesterday flies
