Yin & Yang

Someone’s look I had for several years
I find it mighty cruel
for the look I never returned,
trust was lost as I grew aloof
and he discerned to move on.

‘You are so naïve!!’, she yells
My bleeding heart is unwelcome
Forgive! Look at what they had done
You must respect him and then
learn to love him; is my only request.
I had sacrificed my life for your
wellbeing and fight I will so that
you may live a life destined
for Greatness!

The same tunes play on
like a broken record,
without striking a chord.
My heart strings have been
plucked and then left, discarded
With regards, how can I return his looks?

The bells have rung
to waste not what is left
of my time, on looking for
elusive love, only to fail.
My time to find a date,
is better served contrite.
Yin and yang is the insignia
of my soul, once again,
alone I hail.
