By Lizzy

You were the one that walked out
You left an entire life
You walked out and guess what you took,
You took my entire being.

I tried so hard to keep you happy.
I stay up every night,
thinking about what I did wrong.

I go through life trying to get over you.
I've been acting like you don't exist.
You tore me apart.

I should thank you,
for tearing me apart.
And making me create myself new.
A better version of myself.
I'll be a better version,
a version without you.
