You.

It was always you,
The wind, the breeze, and you.
The childhood spent with you,
I could forget that but not you.
You’re like the dew on the green grass,
Peaceful, calm. A blissful serenity.
It’s not just the love and affection,
It’s all about the warmth I feel beside you.

We aren’t together now,
Nor were we. Though I sat beside you.
It was the misconception between us,
And not the distance that tore us apart.
Many came and left, but they meant none,
You left, and that meant much.
I do not pray for your love,
But I pray to survive the pain.
