You

Regret Sings,
Like a cosmic symphony of stars,
Shockingly overwhelming.
Playing over and over again the scratched record,
Of eluded possibilities in "what might have been."
The first notes hit my shoulders like rain drops,
And I stand drenched in them.
Drowning in the knowledge,
Very few things matter in a world damned like this.
Your voice.
Your smile.
The way your eyes stripped my bones away,
Until nothing was left but my naked soul,
And you proclaimed it beautiful.
I want to scream treason,
Punishing you- the thief,
Who stole into me with such delicacy,
Graffiting my starved heart with poetry.
But the stars hum the reality,
I let you do it,
Willingly.
