You and I

You and I,
are we both living a lie?
As husband and friend.
As wife and man.
Every time you walk out that door.
Baby your hurt, but I’m hurt more.
Looking at you when your alsleep,
Silently my heart just weeps.
My days are full with you in my arms.
Your head on my chest, me keeping
you warm. It’s how I wish for us to be .
For as long as enternity .
When did I love you I do not know?
But more and more this love for you grows.
So promise with me is where you’ll
always stay.
Till the day we’re old wrinkly and gray.
