You And I

You and I, we're travelers
Constantly moving closer and farther
From each other, our selves, the reality
Of the lives we choose or
Fall into.
Stillness
Eludes us, although that is what we crave.
We cross paths,
Intertwine at times,
And everything is still,
Time itself stands still
For us,
Until the whisper of the world returns
To lure us away.
