You Are More Than Enough

You are not a box of chocolates, a bouquet of roses
a candlelit date, or a handwritten letter

You are not a string of pearls, initials in a tree,
breakfast in bed, or a dance under stars

You are kisses on tear stained cheeks
unauthorized tickles and sleepy smiles

Unexpected road trips
and take-out at home

You are the butterflies I’ve felt for months
and the voice that puts my mind at ease

The hand that pulls me to my feet,
and pushes me toward my dreams

You are my Saturday night,
my Sunday morning

You are a confidence I’ve never known,
my heart’s perfectly imperfect home
