You Are My Daughter

I'm not your real mother,
yes that's truebut when I met you for the first time I saw in your eyes that you were just misunderstood.

I saw you needed me more than I needed you and I took you in my arms to let you know that I understood.

Since then I've protected you and love you like my own and I came to realize that I was the one that needed you the most.
