You Can’t Silence the Storm

You can't
Silence the storm living warm inside of me.
It blows in with the wind with nothing to hide me--
Exposed, no clothes, and no one to guide me.
Shame and blame don't seem to exist to me
As I stand with my hands up in the air
With the wind blowing in and out of my hair.
I am free, alone with me, and I am happy.
I cheer as the storm grows near!
I won't run away in fear!
You can't
Silence the storm living warm inside of me.
It blows in with the wind with nothing to hide me.
I can't pretend the storm will end.
The winds will surely come again.
