You did all of this for me
You helped me to grow
You helped me to "know some stuff"
You helped me to love myself again and again
You helped me to bare children without a manual
You helped me to see the beauty in ugly things
And the pain in the beauty
You helped break me down
Only to stand me back up
I fall in love with things of all sort
I have no picks
I truly see in others what they are afraid to be
You helped me to see now who they are indeed
As I patiently wait for you to show me more
I will hang on to this for life, for sure.
You helped me to rebirth myself
Through your divine intervention
Fighting thru all the turmoil and aggression
You've given me the rope to hang myself
Then loosened it up once I felt
To tight, to surreal, to real
Thank you, I am grateful
I am grateful for all of the moments
Throughout this life of disconnect
Then gracefully gave me time
To reconnect it all in line
Thank you for showing me the way
And the one I want to save the day
You helped me to "know some stuff"
You helped me to love myself again and again
You helped me to bare children without a manual
You helped me to see the beauty in ugly things
And the pain in the beauty
You helped break me down
Only to stand me back up
I fall in love with things of all sort
I have no picks
I truly see in others what they are afraid to be
You helped me to see now who they are indeed
As I patiently wait for you to show me more
I will hang on to this for life, for sure.
You helped me to rebirth myself
Through your divine intervention
Fighting thru all the turmoil and aggression
You've given me the rope to hang myself
Then loosened it up once I felt
To tight, to surreal, to real
Thank you, I am grateful
I am grateful for all of the moments
Throughout this life of disconnect
Then gracefully gave me time
To reconnect it all in line
Thank you for showing me the way
And the one I want to save the day
