You found the real me

I still love you, I won't lie
I still care, It's the truth
And it hurt me to hurt you
But I can't go back in time.

I didn't want to do this to you
But you asked for it
I didn't want to show you the monster
Behind the angel
But you wanted to know
You wanted me to show the whole me
You wanted to see the good and the bad
The pretty and the ugly
The useless and the useful
The golden and the silver
But you forgot that the things that I hide inside
The me that I hold back in,
Are the scary me
Are the me that you wouldn't want to see
Are the me you wouldn't want to love
Are the me that you wouldn't want to remember
And is the me that scared you away.

But I still love you
I don't want to lie anymore.
