You Meant It Right?

Knowing you're falling out of love is hard.
One day I won't feel your touch,
One day I won't hear your voice,
And I fear this day is coming sooner than I wanted.
Because the colors of the world are no longer bright,
Music is no longer uplifting,
And your side of the bed is often left cold.
Our days together are growing short,
And the more I want you the less you seem to want me.

You notice the distance and you're going to fix it right?
Unless you don't want it to be fixed.
I see you grow bored around me,
Spending more time with everyone else.
Do they truly give you a better life than I do?
Because if so I can change, I can be better, I'll try.
I promise I can be perfect for you.

Hopefully you're just tired.
I am too, our one sided relationship
Is finally pulling me down.
But you've told me you loved me, and you meant it right?
How can one define happiness
When you played the role so well you hurt me?
I know now out of the 7.8 billion beating hearts,
I fell for one that didn't beat for me.
