You never knew

Bed laid, plain white sheets
long and cold sleepless nights
thought I saw you there
but I touched thin air
strange feelings in my wild dreams
In silent screams
I wail with the dark
whispering mystical words
meant for only you
I wish you knew

Dressed up, long sleeved shirt
polished shoes and not a tie on
staring at the distance
wondering what you see
They say that I changed
because I can not be what they want
nobody can ever treat you like I did
I've always wanted to be something you miss
If you knew
