You Said I Changed

You borrowed my shape
And brought her home.
Gave her a new name
And laugh.
You taught her what to say.
Explained how to act
No matter your mood.
You came back to me
And when I laughed
You frowned.
No. Do it right.
You said.
I didn’t know what you meant.
When I spoke
You’d growl.
Act like yourself.
You’d say.
I am, don’t you see?
I tried to please you
Only to fail.
I’m not that girl
You made up in your head.
