You Wanted to Live

I remember your face when you were told of your disease
I saw the shock but calmness and ease
The hospital room you chose with view and light
To keep your stay bright of all the pain in spite
When your head was itchy they shaved off your hair
I remember your face, your look and stare
When I told you with heart you looked prettier than ever
You were still sad like you lost a treasure
Looked at the blood chart and levels everyday
You wanted to go home without a delay
In the hospital day and night we cared for you
To God for your life we prayed for you
When you were dying I prayed O God take my wealth
For all my good deeds give my child her health
It was hard to take that my baby has died
O God I screamed why You took my child
Because you wanted to live

Then in a dream one day it dawned on me
I felt the Almighty spoke to me
O servant your child was my gift to you
Her beauty her innocence was my gift to you
Too innocent to live in this wicked world
I saved your child from this sinful world
She wanted to live and I made her to live
In Heaven forever I made her to live
