You Were My Everything

I loved you more than anything
You were my everything
Yet when I was with you I was so lost
I was so confused
And I put the pain in my head and heart
Onto my bare skin
It made me feel numb
Like everything was fine
Until something was left behind
Scars
From a lot of bullets
I tried to dodge but was too weak to succeed
See the bullets came from a gun
But a gun cannot be fired until someone pulls the trigger
You were my trigger
To the gun I was firing at myself
