You’ll Be Safe Again

O the winds blow high
And the fires grow strong
As they blow toward my home
And the stars that would shine
Are hidden by the smoke
From the lands ablaze below

But my dear o my darling
Though the future looks so dim
I will stay here my darling
You'll be safe again

And the rains they will fall
Flooding streets and homes
As the lightning strikes my garden
And the clouds that roll by
In the darkened evening sky
Cover the last light from the moon

But my dear o my darling
Though the future looks so dim
I will stay here my darling
You'll be safe again

When the bones crack and dry
And it's time to shut our eyes
And the world around is mourning
When we get to heavens gate
I won't enter I will wait
Till I see your face before me

And my dear o my darling
Though the future looks so dim
I will stay here my darling
You'll be safe again

I will stay here till the end
My love, you will be safe again

This Poems Story

This is a lullaby I wrote to help one of my friends sleep when she was having anxiety attacks.
