Young Hospital Child

Young hospital child
I know that this is hard
For I went through the same things

It’s a stream of meds
A stream of people
With each day the stream flows faster
Sweeping you away in its flow

You know this place is saving your life
But it seems to be killing you as well
The beds are soft and the people kind
But it doesn’t change the fact
That death is around the corner everyday

Sometimes you wish you could leave
Just be a regular kid
And maybe one day you will be
Sometimes stories end sadly
You are just at the beginning

All you can do is hope for a happy ending
