Your Baggage

Is it something I did,
Was it something I said,
Did I deserve what had came,
Do I deserve what's ahead,

What did I miss,
Where'd I go wrong,
When did your baggage,
Come in my shape and form.

Maybe I'm just different,
Maybe I'm misguided,
See someone else,
In the mirror, I'm sorry I can't hide it

I know I've made you sad,
I know I'm not like you,
I know I am your baggage,
But I can't run from what's true.

Hope I make you happy one day,
Wish the best for me,
Cause once I give up hope for us,
I'll be running free.

Your words hit the core,
If only I could get it together
I'm sorry dad, I just can't be your little girl forever.
