Your Face

I went to the beach today, but I did not see your face.
The light sparkling on the water reminded me of your eyes;
I forced a smile trying to blend in with the happy faces, but
I did not see your face.
As I watched the waves crashing ashore, my heart trembled.
Just as the waves are controlled by the current, you carry my love-
Without it in your care, I am aimlessly wandering.
I could hear you calling to me, but still I did not see your face.
Where are you? I miss your beautiful face.
