Your Fist Scares Me None

Your fist scares me none.
So crucify my body and lynch my soul.
Beat me till my complexion turns blue.
Beat me till my skin peels
And hide the morphine.
Change my address from Thirty-Second Avenue,
To the Walls of Abuse.
I'm sorry if I don't feel pain anymore.
But what is pain when you learn to cope?
When the neighbors knock I know what to do,
Cover my wounds and bandage the truth.
Your fist scares me none.
So trust me not.
Word from the wise,
Life is more thunderous than an echo.
Even these walls have eyes
And life is karma.
