Your Love

I stare deeply into your eyes.
I touch your silky skin.
I caress my finger down your face,
Only to have the gentle touch,
the gentle touch of your unyielding hand.

You stare deeply into my eyes,
I shift closer to your delicate eyes.
I caress my hand back to your cheek,
And touch your cheek, ever so gently.
I feel the warmth of your lips on mine.

I feel my heart galloping faster.
If my heart were racing, I would win.
I travel my hands up the back of your neck,
Only to find my hand cupped perfectly,
Perfectly on the back of your neck.

My other hand is gently placed on your chest.
I feel you,
Your emotions,
Your heartbeat.
Each and every heartbeat for me.

Our lips,
One kiss.
No movement,
No breathing,
Frozen in time.

Lips release.
Eyes closed.
Rousing touch.
Hearts racing with emotions.
I wonder?

It’s at that moment,
One comes to believe,
Not believe, but truly realize,
With overpowering numbness,
This is Love.
