Your Name

You helped carve
these jagged edges
that run
right through my heart

The pieces I can't fix
you wrote your name
All over them
to claim your precious art

The rain that fell
from missing you
A raging storm
I fell apart

I hate you
because I loved you
I want to forget
You were my counterpart

As I say your name
the sound dies on my lips
I won't forget
although I will restart
