Your Smile Was My Stone

Your eyes were filled with wounds
and I could see that you were blue.
But I was there for you.

We were one of the same
and once were connected.
But life got the best of you
so you cut the cords and wrecked it.

I wrote a song, "Remembering You".
You always swore I had it in me.
Between the writing and the singing,
our passions were everything.

I've never felt this alone.
Your smile was my stone.
Your home was a place to go
and get lost in every note.

If only to heaven, they sold tickets.
You took the train and I missed it.
And I'm left in this sickness.

I'm really sick of this sickness.
