Youth long past
Such needless wonderment,
Bewildered,
Bemused.
Oh to find the sun in the shadow of the moon
My head flows fast,
A torrent,
So vast.
Yet i dream of days to come
In lieu of fond tales of adventures,
Scraped knees and muddy boots.
I await the days i can spend with you.
The sincerity of ignorance,
Of innocence,
Of youth.
I see in your eyes a fearless tireless side,
That in myself has long since died.
summer days of fun and glee
May have been and gone for me.
But for you theyre beginning, a light in the distance.
An empty book ink fresh on the quill,
Endless stories to write, countless pages to fill.
I hope each day feels endless,
Beore the clock stands still.
