Youth of Today

Pretending to be Unattended
We are stories never perfectly ended
Only all we got we have defended
But still our friends we have contended
Wearing the prettiest designer clothes
Listening to the sound our mouth composes
We hide inside the dark tunnel
Wearing only the finest flannel
Having nothing left to tell
Pretend to be more than we used to be
We drink have sex we want to be free
We lose our hearts to the eloquent poesy
We take pictures of a perfect smile
We dare to dream for a while
We defend our opinion with lies
Like a plane we want to discover endless skies
We hang up at lost places
Collecting make-up to paint our faces
