You take away my pride
You take away my stride
You lock me in a cage
You fill me full of rage

You put me on display
You mold me as if I was clay
You poke you prod
You make my life rather odd

I was once out there running free
I had no lock I had no key
I had the earth beneath my feet
I had no scheduled time to retreat

I want my life back
I don't want to be told how to act
I don't like the stares
I feel like no one cares

Would you please let me go
Would you please let me grow
Let me run in the wild
Stop treating me like a child
Here I am giving one last plea
Please give me my key
