The great Gandhi said "Your beliefs become your thoughts. Your thoughts become your words. Your words become your actions. Your actions become your habits. Your habits become your values. Your values become your destiny." Deep Discussion was inspired by this quote with the vision to encourage open mindedness and deep realm thinking. Understanding is the foundation of our ability to grow from our experiences and to grow with one another. Written purely from the heart these poems are sharing what was discovered thus far in my journey and how they will be applied going forward. There is so much for us to learn in life through our experiences. However without opening our minds the ability to learn and grow becomes limited. Unfortunate situations that occur in our life are always written off as learning experiences, but are we really learning from them? My experiences followed the progression of Gandhi's philosophy and led to a great deal of growth. As you read the poems and observe the illustrations let your mind expand into the realm of deep thinking. Imagine what you are capable of discovering when you open your mind to the wealth of spiritual knowledge God made available for us. This is the first of many Deep Discussion publications to come. This is a very meaningful project for me because so much of my spiritual growth became transparent and accredited. This involved a lot of hurting, healing, praying, and delivering. These poems recalled experiences that were life changing in a sense of my mentality and spirituality. Things are seen in a much fresher light and a greater understanding. Deep Discussion's sole purpose is to encourage genuine understanding. Understanding is only genuine when you feel some type of energy from other involved sources, and not just your own. In this journey I not only felt the presence of God in my every walk, but I saw the presence of God in other's journeys. It is an honor that God blessed me with this gift of poetic expression. I hope to share these many experiences in a way that will touch you and many others beyond your reading.
