I am Dan Gray, retired military (34 years, a father and grandfather. We should tell our parents how we feel before they are too old to understand or have passed away. I missed the opportunity with my father but not with my mother. I was 60 years old before I realized parents grow old. Parents should never grow old; they should be with us until the day we die. My father’s passing in 2010 unleashed empathy in my soul to understand my own fate and the legacy I leave to my children and grandchildren.I love to read and now hopefully write some poetry.
