A CAPTIVE'S CRY
There's no mercy in my world
A captive's world has no light
And darkness has covered my face
I'm not blessed, I cannot disappear
If I had the wings of angels
I will quickly fly away
And let the oceans roar
And the heavens, their storms
My revenge is coming
So quick,they won't notice
Those that imprisoned my life
If I had the wings of angels
I'll disappear suddenly
Into the ages with light
Into the eternal Broadway
Like a sudden dissolve of cloud
I called God to rescue me
From the bitter toils of time
My day is sad and wouldn't smile
My earth is weak and cannot fly.
A captive's world has no light
And darkness has covered my face
I'm not blessed, I cannot disappear
If I had the wings of angels
I will quickly fly away
And let the oceans roar
And the heavens, their storms
My revenge is coming
So quick,they won't notice
Those that imprisoned my life
If I had the wings of angels
I'll disappear suddenly
Into the ages with light
Into the eternal Broadway
Like a sudden dissolve of cloud
I called God to rescue me
From the bitter toils of time
My day is sad and wouldn't smile
My earth is weak and cannot fly.
